Free Nights at the Cummer Museum

The Cummer Museum & Gardens is an art museum in Jacksonville, Florida. The museum features a collection of European and American art from the 16th century to the present day, as well as a 2.5-acre public garden. The museum is free to the public every Friday night from 4 to 9 p.m., starting July 1 and running through September 2. Visitors can enjoy the museum’s galleries, gardens, and Shop at The Cummer during these extended hours. The museum also offers a variety of programs and events throughout the summer, including children’s art classes, Family Nights, and concert series. The Alhambra Presents the Wizard of Oz

The Alhambra Theatre has been entertaining audiences for over 50 years. The theater is also home to the nation’s oldest professional dinner theater and the only professional resident theater between Atlanta and Miami. The Alhambra Theatre’s latest production is “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” Based on the books by L. Frank Baum, this musical is fun for the whole family. The Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament

The Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament is one of the largest kingfish tournaments in the Southeast. In addition to the general tournament, this spectacular event from July 14-23 also includes a Junior Angler Offshore Tournament, presented by Summit Contracting Group; a Redfish tournament, a Food Festival, live entertainment, and much, much more. The fun takes place each year in July at Jim King Park & Boat Ramp on the Intracoastal Waterway. 2022 SLS Championship Tour

Street skateboarding is one of the most popular activities among young people today. It is a great way to stay active and to socialize with friends. The sport has also seen a surge in popularity in recent years, thanks to the rise of professional organizations such as Street League Skateboarding (SLS). This year, SLS is returning to a global scale, with events spanning the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. The tour is also returning to indoor arenas, further enhancing the excitement and stature of SLS’ high-stakes competition. The 2022 SLS Championship Tour kicks off July 16-17 in Jacksonville, FL. The city made its SLS debut last November, hosting the tour’s sold-out Championship weekend. Now the road to the prized 2022 Super Crown World Championship begins this summer at VyStar Memorial Arena and tickets are still available. So if you are a fan of street skateboarding, be sure to check out the SLS Championship Tour this year!

Jurassic Quest

Jurassic Quest is the perfect activity for children this summer. With school out, the whole family can enjoy a journey back in time to learn about these ancient creatures. This year’s event features more rides, activities, and dinosaurs than ever before, making it the largest and most realistic traveling dinosaur show in North America. Kids will love getting up close to the 50 ft. long Megalodon, 60 ft. long Spinosaurus, and 80 ft. long Apatosaurus, as well as the giant life-size T-Rex.
