About Jacksonville Traveler

Jacksonville, Fla., may feel like a small town thanks to its many unique neighborhoods, but it’s actually the largest city in the continental United States with over 840 square miles. That’s a lot of ground to cover and Jacksonville Traveler is here to do just that!

We’re 3rd generation Jaxons, siblings and professional travelers. We’ve traveled around the world a few times, visiting around 70+ countries between us. Ultimately, we ended up right where we started - on the street where we grew up. Turns out, Jacksonville is pretty great!

We love North Florida and for now, it’s one of the South’s best-kept secrets. We figured why not create a site to show everyone just how wonderful our hometown is - and maybe combat some of the misinformation! We created Jacksonville Traveler to share our favorite things to do, hotspots to eat and drink and great places to stay in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Amelia Island and the spaces in between. The First Coast is a destination with a rich history and an exciting future, so this site is designed to share all that’s great about visiting Jacksonville.

You can count on unique itineraries, restaurant reviews, tips on the best tours and attractions and insider knowledge you can only get from a Jaxon.

If you’re planning a visit to Jacksonville, you have come to the right place! And hey, if you live in North Florida, you might find something new and exciting to do this weekend.
