Why Use Airbnb in Jacksonville?
If you’ve never booked a vacation rental through Airbnb, rest assured that staying in a house, cottage or condo can be an incredible alternative to a tradition hotel. You might just love having a full kitchen, a washer and dryer and space for your pets and kids to roam. It’s a great way to save money by cooking some meals in and a nice way to have privacy when traveling with a larger group. There’s really so much more flexibility at a Jacksonville Airbnb that you can’t find in a traditional hotel setting.
Plus, in 2021 when we’re all trying to travel as safely as possible, having a whole home to yourself is a luxury worth considering. There’s no better way to “social distance” than by booking a vacation rental on your trip to Jacksonville.
How We Selected These Jacksonville Airbnbs
While Jacksonville is a massive metropolitan area, we are only considering properties inside the I-295 Beltway for this list. Soon, we’ll cover Airbnbs in St. Augustine, Amelia Island and other North Florida towns, too. If you’re planning a visit to Jacksonville with your pets, we’re here to save you time and money! We looked at hundreds of rentals in Duval County and have chosen our favorites that sleep 2-10 guests AND are pet friendly.
If you’ve ever traveled with your pets before, you know that quality accommodations don’t always allow pets. What a pain that can be when your fur babies are treated like second class citizens! Airbnb hosts who welcome pets are few and far between, so even though there may be hundreds of properties to choose from, it’s harder to sift through and find the ones that take dogs and cats. Who has the time to research all that? That’s why we’re here!
We’ve taken our extensive local knowledge of Jacksonville, our love of travel and our Airbnb experience to narrow it down to these options. For your reference, our recommendations are always for the Entire Place. While Airbnb was developed as a home-sharing app where you can stay with a host, in this time when social distancing is a priority, we are only sharing homes you will have all to yourself. With social distancing and safe travel in mind, here are the filters and amenities we used to create this list of Jacksonville Airbnbs:
- Pet Friendly
- Entire place
- Self check-in
- Beds 1+
- Bathrooms 1+
- Air conditioning
- Smoke alarm
- Free parking
Airbnb is one of our favorite ways to see the world, but of course we haven’t stayed in every single on of these properties in Jacksonville — yet! We are Jacksonville natives and world travel experts, so we know what to look for in home rentals. Take a look at these choices!
