We’ve personally spent many afternoons exploring all the best coffee shops in Jacksonville, Fl., and narrowed our list down to our ten favorite local coffee shopsto try while you’re here. 1. Bold Bean Coffee Roasters

Bold Bean Coffee Roasters (named for the Bold City) is all about the coffee. They roast their beans locally in the Murray Hill location – yum!

With their first cafe opening in 2011, they have since opened two other coffee shops in Jacksonville, in Riverside and Jacksonville Beach. They offer several original blends as well as beer, wine and tea. 2. Alyona’s Coffee

Alyona’s coffee is a family-run business that is strictly drive through and has a great offering of hot and cold coffees. You can grab an espresso as well and all of their coffee on offer is organic and fair-trade.

3. The Coffee Grinder

Don’t worry, you won’t be grinding your own coffee at this shop! Located at the corner of Baymeadows and Southside, The Coffee Grinder brings the perfect balance of entertainment and coffee when you step through the door. Since 2000, the owner Slava has made this unique spot into more than just a coffee shop – you’ll find DJs spinning house and trance music, interesting art on the walls and a bar.

4. Brass Tacks Coffee

Located on the Southside, Brass Tacks Coffee is local favorite. With a menu that sports double espresso, cappuccinos, chai lattes and matcha lattes, there is surely a coffee drink on there for you. Food is also available as well and a fun menu they call “Night Bites” which are served from 11 until closing.

5. Vagabond Coffee

Once completely operated out of a vintage camper, Vagabond coffee is now permanently at home in historic Murray Hill district. Carrying that vintage feel into the shop, There’s plenty of coffee and tea to choose from. What are you looking for a drip coffee, a pour-over, or a cold brew,  you’ll find some truly tasty coffee on order.

Chaunie’s Coffee takes tasty caffeinated brews on the road! Run by former missionary who saw the opportunity to empower small business owners from all walks of life, owner Chaunie’s coffee is completely mobile and uses only Rainforest Alliance Certified Beans. Chaunie’s makes a point to offer a great coffee from around the world, striving to “bridge the gap between the local coffee lover and the fair trade farmer across the globe.” You can often find Chaunie’s at different events around the city, so keep an eye out on their schedule. 7. Sago Coffee

Located in Jacksonville Beach, Sago Coffee Is a community-oriented coffee shop that looks to bring the beaches community together. With a coffee bar that features everything from cappuccinos to iced lattes and cold brew, this place is within walking distance of the beach, making it a perfect stop on a sunny day.

Started with the desire to roast their own beans and a family that was using a popcorn popper to make small batches of coffee, Pura Bean Coffee Company has a Riverside and San Pablo area location. Don’t let the name of the cafe fool you, the muffins at The Ugly Cupcake and Muffinry are gorgeous and the coffee is on point! Located at Jacksonville Beach in a gorgeous building, the cafe features a rather large food menu that ranges from muffin and waffle boards to sandwiches.
